MyFirstEV reduces the purchase or lease price of a first-time buyer’s qualifying new or used battery-electric or hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle. Participating automakers apply the incentive at sale. Plug-in hybrids are not eligible. New vehicles generally must be model year 2026 or newer with an MSRP of $50,000 or less, except for California-headquartered ZEV-only manufacturers. Used vehicles generally must be manufacturer certified pre-owned, at least two model years older, and $25,000 or less, with the same manufacturer exemption. Vehicles ordered before a manufacturer offers the incentive are not eligible. Availability varies by automaker and dealership and lasts only while funds remain. Dealer/channel and model-list requirements are not evaluated by this site.
