The City of Los Angeles Handyworker program can provide up to $5,000 in no-cost modifications and repairs for a qualifying single-family home or most mobile homes inside the city. Income limits apply. The homeowner generally must be age 62 or older and/or have a permanent disability; those age-or-disability and income tests are not encoded as a single pass/fail rule. Demand may create a waiting list, and help depends on available funding. This is the city LAHD program, not the separate LACDA county Handyworker grant.
