LADWP Attic Insulation Rebate Program
by Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
Per-square-foot rebates for qualifying attic batt or roll insulation at an LADWP-served home.
What you can get
$0.50 per sq ft above R-19, or $0.30 per sq ft on the qualifying R-19-or-below pathway
Standing rebates are $0.50 per square foot for installed insulation rated above R-19, or $0.30 per square foot on the qualifying R-19-or-below pathway when attic clearance is under 24 inches. The launch-bonus extra $0.25 per square foot applied only to projects installed between September 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026; that install window has ended and the bonus is not the current standing rate. The applicant must be an LADWP residential electric customer with an active account or a verified property owner, and the installation address must have active LADWP residential electric service. Purchase and install before applying, generally within 12 months. Only batt or roll insulation qualifies. Permit, R-value, photo, air-conditioning, and documentation rules are not evaluated here.
