Free and discounted transit rides for qualifying Los Angeles County residents.
What you can get
Unlimited free rides for 90 days after approval, then 20 free regional rides each month
LIFE is for Los Angeles County residents who meet a published household-income table or who are enrolled in a listed public benefit such as CalFresh, Medi-Cal, reduced-price school meals, SNAP, Social Security, SSDI, or TANF. After approval, riders receive unlimited free rides for 90 days on participating systems, then 20 free regional rides each month. A household-size income table is published on Metro’s official page and is not converted into a single engine limit here. Temporary South LA and Pomona extra-month promotions are not treated as the standing countywide benefit. Apply through Metro’s LIFE page.
