What you can get
Paid in-home care hours
IHSS pays for personal care and household services so eligible aged, blind, or disabled people can remain at home. Official eligibility includes California residency, a Medi-Cal determination, and living in one’s own home. County social workers determine hours. Age and disability are not reduced to a single required profile field because younger disabled applicants can qualify.
